Smile !
First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your comments on this face cane inspired by MamezelleCat. I was very touched.
As promised, here is a first piece, a bracelet inspired by the "smile". I tried to keep the spirit of Cat's paintings. I hope she will find her touch, as well as a bit of mine!
No varnish on this bracelet, the inks and paints used around the face are trapped behind several layers of liquid Kato clay as they tend to smeer when in contact with varnish. The rest is just polished.
I like the feeling of a window, like if we were peering through a key hole, like if we were stealing a moment of happiness.

Techniques, techniques
Donna Kato's technique using golden leaves and inks is really great. The results are incredible, they make me think of enamels. We do obtain an incredible depth... Her latest book is really worth it.
Here are my first tests.
I got a foggy spot on the central piece, the translucent was to thick on that part!!! not very nice!
So I tried again,
And this time I'm more satisfied with the result...

Mamezelle Cat!
Do you know miss Cat's pieces of work? I'm talking about her wonderfull aquarelles, her paintings where each glance is charged with emotions... I often hang around on her blog, her talent touches me, she has a very special way to share her emotions with us.
Anyway, her women faces made me want to get myself into an adventure not yet tried this week-end. I made, for the first time, a "face cane".
I started off with this wonderfull "smile" painting:
It was quite hard, mainly the hand on the side of the face. But after 4 hours of effort, I got to a result I'm quite proud of (except for the hand!). Here are several steps of the making of this cane :
And now, how will I make the best of this smile? Inspiration will come surely.
Many thanks to Miss Cat for the pleasure she gives us.

Marbling
Do you know this marbling technique on paper? It's been over a year that the idee of producing similarVous connaissez cette tech designs with fimo has been on my mind. I didn't want to do it with scraps as shown in one of Dona Kato's videos, I wanted something regular.
When I finaly got it, I made a flower cane of it, and the result is amazing. I will surely think it in other colours..
I hadn't made jewelry since quite a long time!

'Nother small lamp...
Always lamps, sorry, but this time I changed the shape. From green to blue and from blue to violet very softly.
Colors coming out of my camera aren't fabulous, but the weather isn't on my side this morning.

Thank you
First of all a great thanks to all of you that have been passing by. I am extremely touched by the posts concerning my work on Parole de Pâte and on Polymer Clay Notes and would like to thank you for your encouragements.
Here is a lamp in the same spirit as the mirror inspired by Michal Silberberg's glass beads.
